AMI Distance Learning

WEDA is excited to offer the Atlanta Microenterprise Initiative (AMI) curriculum as a distance learning course.

Distance learning courses provide motivated entrepreneurs the opportunity to receive the AMI curriculum completely online using an Internet-based course management system. This system uses live chat sessions, e-mail, electronic homework assignments, quizzes, and a virtual classroom for communicating with other students and the instructor.

AMI Distance Learning covers the same topics and gives you the same benefits as the AMI program with the added bonus of taking the course from your home.

WEDA now offers an installment option for AMI DL:

  • Pay three payments of $103.
  • To take advantage of the installment option, you must register and make your first $103 (plus shipping and handling charges) payment via PayPal no later than the stated deadline for the cycle.
  • Your subsequent installment payments must be made via PayPal no later than 9:00pm Eastern Time on July 20 and August 10. If payment is not received by the due date, you will not be allowed to participate in the class until your account has been made current.

What You Need to Do

Step 1: Watch the AMI- Distance Learning Orientation video to understand program requirements, eligibility criteria and other important information

Step 2: To register, print and complete the following required forms:

Step 3: Make your payment

  • Payment is required at the time of registration. You may pay online with a credit or debit card or electronic check via www.paypal.com (new users will first have to sign up for the PayPal service). Send your payment to "payments@weda-atlanta.org"

Step 4: Await WEDA registration confirmation and further instructions

In addition to a high-speed internet connection, your computer must meet these requirements, or you may not be able to successfully participate in the program:
